Mod «Bunker March Ridge – Life Support» for Project Zomboid

0
333

A forgotten bunker lies beneath March Ridge. The lights are off and the generator is cold. This mod adds a fully functional underground survival facility with interconnected systems for power, alarms, climate control, emergency lighting, and decontamination. Every system depends on the generator. Without fuel, there is no power or safety.
Power Grid The bunker runs on a single generator backed by a large fuel reserve tank.

  • Start, shut down, refuel, and repair the generator via right-click.
  • Fuel levels and condition degrade over time. Neglect causes power failure.
  • The fuel tank auto-feeds the generator when levels drop below 75%.
  • Fill or drain the tank using gas cans from your inventory.
  • Repairs require Electronics Scrap. The generator must be shut down first.

Alarm System An early warning system monitors the bunker while powered.

  • Auto-triggers when a zombie enters or the generator fails.
  • Can be triggered manually from the alarm panel.
  • The siren broadcasts across the entire bunker until silenced and reset.
  • The system is inactive without power.

Climate Control Maintain a livable temperature inside the bunker.

  • Set a target temperature between 10°C and 30°C.
  • Temperature shifts gradually at a rate of 1°C per in-game minute.
  • Without power, the interior temperature drifts toward outside conditions.

Emergency Lighting Red emergency lights activate automatically upon power loss.

  • Powered by an internal backup battery (up to 12 hours on a full charge).
  • The battery recharges while the generator runs (~6 hours for a full cycle).
  • Lights blink periodically. Once drained, the bunker becomes pitch black.
  • Includes a test button on the control panel.

Decontamination Chamber An automatic cleaning cycle removes blood and dirt from your character.

  • The cycle starts automatically when you enter the chamber (no interaction needed).
  • Cleaning takes 3 in-game minutes.
  • There is a 5-minute cooldown between cycles.
  • Can be toggled on/off from the control panel. Requires power.
  • Note: Cleans the player's body only, not carried items.

Visual Feedback

  • Generator: Glows green when nearby.
  • Fuel tank: Glows orange when nearby.
  • Alarm panel: Red when active, blue on standby.
  • Decon chamber: Cyan when ready, green during cleaning.

Bunker Door Features

  • Keypad-Locked Entry: The door is sealed with a randomized 4-digit code. Right-click to access the keypad.
  • Lock & Unlock: Freely lock and unlock the door from the context menu once the code is known. Locking automatically closes the door.
  • Hackable Keypad: Use a screwdriver to bypass the keypad (~1 minute). Stay still with the screwdriver in your inventory. Success reveals the code in a popup.
  • Indestructible: This military-grade reinforced door cannot be broken by axes, sledgehammers, or zombies. Entry requires the code.
  • Visual Status: The door glows red when locked and green when unlocked.
  • Multiplayer Compatible: Door state syncs across all players.

How to Use

  1. Find the bunker entrance in March Ridge.
  2. Right-click the reinforced door and select the Bunker Door submenu.
  3. Choose Unlock Door to enter the code, or Hack Keypad if you have a screwdriver.
  4. Press E to open or close the door normally once unlocked.
  5. Use Lock Door from the context menu to secure the bunker.

Tips

  • The code changes every new game.
  • Hacking takes about one minute. Ensure the area is clear of zombies before starting.
  • If you lose the code, you can hack the keypad again.
  • In multiplayer, coordinate with your group, as anyone can lock the door.

Quick Start

  1. Locate the bunker in the March Ridge area.
  2. Right-click the generator panel and start it using a gas can.
  3. Right-click the fuel tank to manage reserves.
  4. Keep Electronics Scrap on hand for repairs.
  5. Use the control panel to manage alarm, climate, decon, and emergency systems.

Hey,

I noticed your mod is gone from the Workshop. Any chance you'll be bringing it back? I really enjoyed using it.

Thanks!
